ABOUT GURGAON

Gurgaon, situated in the NCR of Delhi, is a fast developing metropolis that is being referred as next Singapore of India. By December, Delhi to Gurgaon in 20 mins flat

Traffic between the Capital and Gurgaon , often crawling along Delhi - Jaipur National Highway 8, will soon switch gears to the fast lane.

At least four flyovers are set to come up on the almost 28-km stretch" between Dhaula Kuan and Haldiram's Resort" and there's more good news. The flyovers are expected to be completed by the year-end, and, at least initially, will be toll-free. Once ready, the 27.7-km expressway (with 9.7 km falling in New Delhi and 18 km in Haryana) would be a red-light free zone, cutting down travel time between Dhaula Kuan and Haldiram's Resort to 20 minutes.

Beginning from the point where Rao Tula Ram Marg meets NH-8, the Expressway will culminate at a point near Haldiram's Resort on the Delhi-Jaipur national highway. Work on the project is in top gear and flyovers at Rajokri, Udyog Vihar, IFFCO Chowk and Rajeev Chowk will be operational by the end of the year, says S.P.S. Bakshi, chief general manager of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). No toll tax would initially be charged. Normally, toll tax is charged once the entire expressway is made functional.

Regional plan 2021 for NCR approved
Saturday, July 9, 2005 (New Delhi ):

The National Capital Region ( NCR ) Board has decided to implement a host of plans that will radically alter public transport, health services telecom and other aspects of daily life.

A system like the Metro or a mass rapid transport system will soon link Gurgaon , Ghaziabad and Sahibad in Uttar Pradesh.

This is part of the NCR master plan 2021, which was approved by the Union government and chief ministers from Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi after a meeting held in the capital.
It was also decided that railway and road services to almost 20 cities in the NCR with each other and the capital, will be improved.
